Who Is Jesus?
The Beginning
He is the Word
John 1:1-5 NKJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not [a]comprehend it."Let there be light," & there was. Through Jesus, God created the foundation of the world. In perfect peace & harmony. He made man and called us His children whom He loved dearly. In the garden of Eden we dwelt with Him. We walked with God & and had all we would ever need.
The Fall of Man
Genesis 2:15-17 Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[c] shall surely die.” In the garden there was one rule, to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. In rebellion, enticed by satan Eve ate of the tree. Seeing that it was good for food, she also gave some to her husband Adam and he ate. As Adam ate of the tree, sin through disobedience entered into the heart of man separating God from humans. In our rebellion we could no longer walk with God & it broke His heart, but He decided our relationship would not end there.
The Word Made Flesh
John 3:14-16 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [a]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
To redeem man unto God, a perfect life needed to be lived to conquer sin & death. Because humans are born in sin, this is impossible for us, but not for God. In His love, Jesus being God came down into earth and fulfilled this role for us. Living a sinless life, teaching love, healing the sick, & rasing people from the dead. God had shown up & He planned to comeplete the job He came for, & all those who believe in Him shall be saved.
Death And Resurrection
At age 33, it was time for Jesus to complete the will of His Father & die in the place of humans so that we could have fellowship with God again. Jesus being a perfect man was tortued, beat, and crucified upon a cross for our sins. The perfect sacrafice. When the full weight of sin was bore, He gave up His Spirit, but the job was not done. Buried within a tomb, 3 days later Jesus rose from the dead fully conquering sin & death restoring the connection Between God and His creation. WE ARE FREE, REJOICE! Luke 23: 45-46 45 ..The veil the temple was torn in [c]two. 46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last. Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they, [a]and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2 But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb...“Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here, but is risen!' ” Luke 24:1-2,5-6
The Soon coming king
"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4. After being raised from the dead, Jesus still saw a problem, His redeemed people still live within a fallen world in fallen bodies. Becasue of this Jesus has given those that believe & live for Him a promise, that He will return for us & redeem our bodies into fully into a glorious state. There will be no weeping, no pain, no depression, no anxiety. We will be free from all the hardships we endure now. Truly we will be set free. But until then it is our job to spread the good news to all who havent heard or dont believe. My question to you is, do you believe? Salvation through Jesus is possible; be set free today. All you have to do is believe.
